Guess who's home!

Sweet, sweet weenie.
This was the longest I've been away from my little wiener dog since I've had her. My parents took her on Easter Sunday, and I just got her back today. She switched between three different people to get back to me today. A big thanks to everyone who helped transport my punkin home. It must have been an exhausting trip, because she is sooooo tired tonight. I also think she is a little pissed because she hates the camera. When I got it out to take this photo, she ran downstairs. Little shit. She's snuggled up under the covers at my feet now.
She wanted to send out a great big HEY-AY to Grandma Linda and Grandpa Larry and Grandma Alice and Grandpa Roger for letting her stay with them this past month.
Hey-ay for letting me stay.
Hey-ay for letting me chase "those god damn cats."
Hey-ay for taking me for my heartworm check.
Hey-ay for letting me under your shirt.
Hey-ay for not letting a giant hawk or mountain lion eat me.
Hey-ay for not letting "those god damn cats" eat me (they have claws).
Hey-ay for giving me treats.
Hey-ay for not killing me when you stepped in my pooh.
Hey-ay for respecting that I'm afraid of the rain and wind (I'm tiny).
Hey-ay for letting me play with Taya and Kayley.
Hey-ay for not letting me eat Kayley's throw-up (I apparently tried).
Hey-ay for letting me talk to mommy on the phone.
Hey-ay for playing the phone messages mommy left for me and not you (I'm really spoiled).
Hey-ay for teaching me the trick with the basket.
Hey-ay for taking such good care of me.
*A little side note for anyone who doesn't know me very well...I'm overly attached to my dog.*

Wait...what?

i have nothing to say today

Um...tonight I went to Mary's Place for the first time...ever. I'd have to say, it was quite an experience. It is a great place to raise one's self esteem. Above is a list I made while I was there so I wouldn't forget what all I had seen. That's right: 3 Mulletts (two were she-mulletts), a dude wearing sandalls with white socks (even I know better), and some chick wearing see-through heels that would light up every time she took a step. A regular f-ing cinderella.
Speaking of the dentist, I missed my appointment today. I'd like to blame it on the fact that I gave my reminder card away, but I can't. I just slept through my alarm. Oh well...I figure even if I miss my dentist appointments for the next 10 or so years, I'll probably still have more teeth than the crowd at Mary's Place. Go Mary!

I heart the Chesney

Do you think it's sexy? Do you, do you?
If she thinks his tractor is sexy, imagine what she thinks about his sleeveless t-shirts.
I went to open mic at Crescent Moon again tonight. It was radical, smooth, and cool...all at the same time. There were songs of hugs (grrrrrr!), cocaine, bad days, and belly flops. The main theme however, seemed to be Kenny Chesney. I'm thankful that I'm not alone in thinking he is a douche (sorry roommate). Not that being a douche is all bad (it kinda is). Don't get me wrong, I like tractors as much as the next girl, they come in handy for moving trees and things. It's just that a tractor has never made me want to take my clothes off (it did once). I'm just saying.....
It is nice to know that I'm not alone in the war against the Chesney. We will prevail.
You know, it does kind of piss me off that I had a nice night of music and conversation and all I can think to write about is the Chesney. That douche just had a whole blog dedicated to him...douche. Douche is a fun word to say.
Alright, I'm about ready to fall asleep in the middle of doing this again (that's what she said). So I'm going to go to sleep.
I almost forgot. The hands from last Thursday belong to Tyler. According to Tyler they were sent down or blessed by Jesus or something. I'm not really sure...something about a sweatshop.

Pokey

I cut my arm on this fence when I was 12. It wasn't in this exact spot, but close enough. I was petting a cow. Well, trying to pet a cow.
Fiddle update: I can play a wicked Scarborough Fair. I skipped right over Twinkle Twinkle. I'm thinking that this may have been some bad timing on my part. I am due to graduate in 5 weeks and now all I do when I get home is play guitar and violin. I should be studying for boards...right? Eh...I'll see how I do on the practice boards and I'll go from there.

Say hello everyone...

I accidentially bought a fiddle today. Her name is Yolanda. She has a best friend. I guess you could say he is her...(wait for it)..."bow". His name is Engelbert. Sarah named the violin and Michael named the bow. Way to go guys. I have a strick rule about naming things. I can't name my things. Any plants of mine that I have personally named in the past have died. Because of this I make Sarah name most of my things. Michael, you got lucky.
I went to an outstanding show last night. Andrew Bird was at the Sokol Underground. There was not a lot of room, lots of teens, funky smells, and it was totally worth it. I just love him. I think that's pretty much all there is to it. You should check him out. I recommend "The Mysterious Production of Eggs" as a great start. I'm just saying... Did I mention I love him? He may be the size of my right leg, but I think we could work past that. That is if I didn't lose him in my belly button or something.
I'm going to go to sleep. I haven't tuned a fiddle for about 9 years. I'm exhausted.

Congrats.

This is Lane. He looks a little mean, but he is actually quite a kitten. By kitten I mean he's a huge pussy. HA! That's for giving up your all-time quarterback position. Lane was just named the Nebraska AP Photographer of the year. He has a little trophy-type thingy to prove it. Way to go Lane, way to go.

Lane happened to marry Sarah, so he gets to put up with me. I remember the first night we met him. He had just come in from the field or from messing with cows or something. Anyway, he was looking pretty farm-like. He wouldn't stop staring at Sarah apparently. (creepy) He introduced himself and the rest is history. He cleaned up nice for their first date.

So here's to you Lane, an outstanding photographer and an ever-improving Bond player. (N64)

I'm going to encourage all to check out Lanes website. It kicks the crap out of my little generic blog. It also just celebrated its five year anniversary. Woo-hoo!
